Historia

MKS „Warta” volleyball section was founded in 1972.

In 1984 the club was promoted to interprovincial league. After the season 1958/1986 Warta was 2nd, but lost in play-off tournament.

In the end in 1993 Warta won in play-offs and was celebrating promotion to II league with Marian Kustra as a coach.

After promotion Centralna Techniczno-Handlowa became owner of the team which was playing in II league as CTH Warta Zawiercie. In the season 1993/1994 came 2nd. One year later financial problems started and the team was withdrawn from the competition.

In the season 1995/1996 Warta was took over by TKKF Stadio Este. However it was just a temporary rescue for the section, because in 1997 men volleyball in Zawiercie was closed down.

The club was reactivated in 2011 as KS Aluron Warta Zawiercie. In three seasons was promoted to the I league where was playing from the season 2014/2015 (already as Aluron Virtu Warta Zawiercie).

In the season 2016/2017 the team from Zawiercie finished 1st in I league, then through play-offs qualified for the top division (PlusLiga) playing as Aluron Virtu Warta Zawiercie SA.
